OTHER NEWS:

1. Rowena Eastick took part in the Vietnam Triathlon over the weekend. Results not yet available.

2. Chad Anderson (still sporting bandages) tried out his Australian team gear at the race yesterday. Chad looks hot to give his age group at Worlds one hell of a crack in a fortnight.

3. News not so good for Monica Stewart. Mon has had to withdraw from the Australian age group team due to ill health interrupting her preparation. We commiserate with her and judging by her performance at Cas Beach yesterday, know it won't be long before she is back to top form.

4. Those who did the Tour de Timor have returned to Darwin looking a tad thinner. Sounds like it was a very challenging experience (and that was just to get enough to eat & drink). !

5. Lee Wilson will conduct a weekly swim/bike (wind trainer)/run session at Casuarina Pool commencing on Monday night 7 September from 6.15pm. The session is open to all DTC members with a particular focus on junior development. For more information see http://triathlonnt.com.au/#/development/4533007013 or email lee.wilson@ausport.gov.au.

6. The Darwin Cycling Club's Cycle Sports Mania, is to be held at the velodrome on Saturday 12 Sept 09. Cycling enthusiasts from all clubs and organisations are welcome to attend. The aim is to have a fun filled afternoon and provide a venue for all of those people interested in bikes can come along and swap stories, and watch or even participate in the activities. For further details on activities see www.darwin.cycling.org.au

Cheers,
Robyn
