We had a fantastic turn out for the Mountain Bike Triathlon at Lake Alexander yesterday morning. Competitors may have ended up a tad muddy but the format was enjoyed by all.
A huge thank you to RD Paul Sheffield and the other volunteers who helped stage this event. Competitors really appreciate the time and effort put in by fellow club members. I hear that the far water stop was a very welcome sight indeed !

1. Volunteer for Race Director for Lake Bennett event 24 April 2010 is required. Can someone please put up their hand for this. Role sharing is allowed and we will have lots of on day volunteers to lend a hand.
2. We will circulate the new volunteer roster this week. Please check for your name when you receive and make a note.
3. If you are unable for some reason to carry out your volunteer duty, please make an effort to find a replacement and notify us of who that will be.

1. Erica Reeve made an absolutely stunning bride & Aaron looked very much the proud groom at their alpine wedding.
2. Media Hound: Paul Sheffield was heard chatting to Macca on Australia All Over while setting up for the mountain bike triathlon at Lake Alexander ! People all over Australia heard about our event.
3. Weekend form guide: Ali Croser is ready to race; Lachlan Hatty & Connor McLeod conquered the Lake Bennett bike course; Rachel De Zoete has IM NZ firmly in her sights; ditto Andy Jones; Paul Tilbrook is looking buffed and running well and Lisa Quinell starred with her mtb skills.
4. Pro Matty White won the SA state Olympic Distance Champs yesterday and won a couple of crayfish.
5. Lake Bennett & surrounds resembled Pitt St over the weekend with many targeting upcoming long events training down there. Some impressive form on display !
6. Daryl Stanley also had a camp happening at Lake Bennett and once again the locals pinched his run witch's hats. Many of you will remember when a tarp, table and chairs set up for our drink stop at club champs at Lake B also "walked". Moral of the story, put it out on a Lake B road and it won't last five minutes.
