OTHER NEWS:

1. Media Hound: 1. Grab your magnifying glass and check page 8 of the Australian Triathlete magazine ... Brian Hannon, Nikki Roddie, Angelika Hannon, Belinda Birk, David McLeod and Jodie McLeod are there; 2. Keep an ear on Territory FM on Sat morning for an interview with Jason Jones; 3 NT News Fixer today - Bertram Birk is pictured.

2. To give Bertram a break from the publicity limelight, there is a very easy way to report street light faults online at http://www.powerwater.com.au/contact_us/report_a_faulty_streetlight . The poles have numbers on them and it makes it even easier if you can quote that number.

3. Heath Porter is now signed off as a TA Recognised Practising Level 1 Triathlon Coach. Congratulations Heath.

4. Adventure racing enthusiasts can check out www.synastrys.com.au for further opportunities.

5. Thor Hushovd recently finished 2nd in Paris-Roubaix. He is now nursing a broken collarbone after hitting a little girl while out on a training ride. The girl is fine. Hushovd underwent surgery.

6. Good to see Ali Fitch back in Darwin for a stint of training.

7. Midweek form guide: Ian Pollock putting in some run as well as swim time; Liam Johnson is having a break; Ernie Koch has a little niggle but would love it to be otherwise; Jane Marie Kerslake is ready to race and Lisa Quinell is doing some bush bashing.

8. Thinking about IM NZ 5 March 2011 ?? Last count field was over 75% full

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A TRIATHLETE WHEN ...

... you know the latest is not always the greatest and the quick fix is something that rarely produces results.
... you have found your inner "off" button and use it
... friends tell you what they rode or ran and you automatically calculate their pace to see if you are still in better shape

Safe Training,
Cheers,
Robyn
