Robyn's E News 3 Nov 10

Hi All,

Interest in Friday's event is high. Please don't head for Lake Alexander, we are down at the Waterfront Lagoon and we kick off at 6pm so make sure you are registered and body marked by 5.45pm (late = no race).

We have a huge number of very doable events coming up, and those who have expressed interest in participating in our events are asked to join up online at https://www.securedvirtualnet.com/Sma/Triath/ and bring a copy of their receipt with them on Friday.

Our membership is a VERY reasonable $110 and takes you through to 30 June 2010. Lapsed or Non members receiving this .... Why not give yourself an early Christmas present and sign up today. And of course, we all know New Year is just around the corner, so make your resolutions now to join up and participate in all our remaining events.

OTHER NEWS:

1. Ask Ernie Koch to tell you his haircut story ... hairlairious !

2. Tony Abbott competed in the Port Mac Half at the weekend. Went around in 6.43.42

3. Stork report: Congratulations to Spud & partner Lisa on the birth of baby Callum Robert Murphy on Monday 1 Nov.

4. Brian Hannon was also in the field at Noosa, doing his yearly swim, run !

5. I completely missed the Cup yesterday and it didn't hurt a bit. Very busy and out and about for work, I confess it took me a few minutes to work out why people were wearing silly hats and eating chicken and drinking champagne at one of the business offices I went into. The bright side is that I saved myself $$$.

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A TRIATHLETE WHEN...

... you open the freezer and have to move ice packs to reach the ice cream
... you know the names of more past Hawaii Ironman winners than NT Chief Ministers
... you are in heavy training & all you can think about is what can you eat next

Safe Training,
Cheers,
Robyn
