Hi All,

It's another busy week for the many triathletes preparing for international, interstate and local events. Activity out there on the roads and running tracks is high ... fantastic to see and a real plus for our sport.

A note to all our Arafura Games volunteers. Don't forget to complete your Ochre card paperwork as it is an Arafura Games requirement that all volunteers undertake this process. They can help ... if you need further info please email anna@triathlonnt.com.au

OTHER NEWS:

1. Oops, inadvertently omitted Rob Brooks from the list of those heading for Singapore ~ sorry Rob.

2. Some of you may like to have your say on the Bagot Road Landscape Plan and Cycle Path. Visit www.nt.gov.au/transport for the landscape concept plans and feedback submission details. Comments should be provided by Monday 28 March 2011.

3. Today is the last chance if you wish to have your say on the Cavanagh Street Renewal Project. Online survey available at www.darwin.nt.gov.au

4. We wish Janet Lewins a speedy recovery. Janet broke her distal fibula on the right foot running last Tuesday morning along the Nightcliff foreshore. She went down a sprinkler hole on the grassed area!

5. The 500 days to go until the London Olympics 2012 has been marked.

6. Media Hound (see attached). Our results aren't in the NT News this week. Trust me, they get sent in but it's tough going with space restrictions when your sport starts with "T". We always have this problem around this time of year when AFL and Basketball are happening.

7. Let's hope the upcoming fishing comp at the Waterfront Lagoon manages to get rid of those problem fish. The guys swimming there last weekend were all nibbled and bumped!

8. Please note there will be no E News this coming Monday.

9. Heath Porter has had a couple more close encounters with snakes. You may recall he missed Busso after tangling with a snake while out riding & coming off.

10. Thanks to those who have sent in expressions of interest to do the proposed Level 1 Triathlon Coaching Course. Dates and fees will be advised as soon as they are confirmed (Working on June). Please email eotriathlonnt@gmail.com if you would like to be added to the list.

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A TRIATHLETE WHEN ...

... you finally find a Gu flavour you look forward to consuming
... your running and cycling shoes live under the fan
... you can ride out a cyclone on your huge stash of energy bars

Safe Training,
Cheers,
Robyn
