Hi All,
Looks like
we are in for some monsoon rain this week. The drop in the temperature is a
very welcome relief for athletes training for upcoming events – particularly
those doing iron distance training.
Our first
event of 2014 (Aquathlon #1) is scheduled for this Saturday and looks like we
may get ideal conditions. Wet season is, after all, the reason we change
to aquathlon (no bike) format!!
Regarding
weather warnings: If there is a cyclone watch in place events will go ahead. If
the BoM issues a cyclone warning within 24 hours of an event, the aquathlon
will be cancelled but also watch our website and/or Faceback & Twitter for
updates.
Don’t
forget all entries for Saturday evening must be made online (and you will need
your TA membership number). Entry closes midday Friday. No late
entries taken.
