Hi All,

Many of us are still scratching after becoming midge pie at Hidden Valley. If you are like me, those bites have since been topped up with a few more of the mozzie variety. Apparently we can expect the biteys to be around for at least another week, so best cover up.

After this edition, E News will take a short break. Any important news will be posted direct to News/Announcements on the club website.

Events happening during the E News down period are listed below.

Note that we need a volunteer for timekeeping at the event 10 October. If you can help out with this, please contact Phill Hatty.

OTHER NEWS:

1. That stork is going to be busy again next year with a number of new tri babies on the way.

2. Ironman World Championships are just around the corner. Stu Fitch is already in Kona being battered by the Queen K winds. Ali Croser and yours truly head off soon. We are all at the stage of running in the opposite direction if anyone sneezes near us and avoiding group rides to lessen the chances of coming off. Making the start line is an achievement in itself !

3. Some significant birthday's have been happening with a number of members reaching age up status.

4. Current IM World Champion Craig Alexander is also already in Kona. The word is he is in awesome shape AGAIN ! Would be great to see him get a three-peat win.

5. Good luck to Michelle Mitchell who is competing in the Gold Coast Half Ironman early in October.

6. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank those who email to E News to let me know who is doing what & where. Certainly helps when I'm trolling through results sheets to know who to look for. Your hints are always welcome and much appreciated.

7. Keep your emails coming as I'll be checking while away and will do a proper catch up E News on return.

Safe Training,
Cheers,
Robyn
