3. Who was that accountant who did a couple of extra laps of the pool at Palmerston yesterday?

4. There is so much broken glass around on the roads & bike paths at the moment a ride can end up being a very frustrating and expensive exercise. I've even resorted to street sweeping around our place and picking up any stray bottles before they become yet another pile of broken glass. Whatever happened to "put it in the bin"!

5. Thanks to those who have already placed their club tri gear orders. I encourage you all to get in early so that there is no delay and also to take advantage of the 10% discount offer. (Note: Prices shown on the uniform pdf are full price - discount prices are shown on order form). We have a big season coming up, so make sure you order enough to get you through all that training and racing to come. Also we are ordering on demand so if you don't purchase this time around there is no guarantee when we will do another order and limited stock (if any) will be held by the club.

6. Some big efforts at yesterday's race had a couple of the guys hugging trees at the end.

7. If you haven't checked out the Triathlon Australia website for awhile it's improved 100% www.triathlon.org.au

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A TRIATHLETE WHEN...

... you cross the finish line with a smile
... you have read the Age Group Selection Policies for the 2009 ITU World Championships events (Gold Coast - OD & SD; Perth - LD)
... you ignored the weather and have swum through June, July, August - minus wetsuit!

Safe training,
Cheers
Robyn

Robyn's E News 8 Aug 08

Hi All,

You asked for it. You have been waiting for it . And now our new club uniform range is ready to go.

Take a look at the attached Uniforms pdf and I'm sure you will agree that it was worth waiting for.

We are now launching our extra special offer which will enable you to purchase your items at significantly reduced prices.

All the setup costs have been covered by the Club so this range is available to you at great prices. And, valid for this initial order only, Darwin Triathlon Club is offering a further 10% discount.

So what do you have to do?

Check the range, check the size chart, fill out the order form and get your order & payment back to us by Monday 25 August 2008 (or sooner if possible).

You will see payment/order options on the order form, and as well Robyn will again be happy to accept your orders at the next event, at Nightcliff swim squad or drop off at her place.

Expected turnaround time for orders is approx 4-5 weeks. As soon as we get enough orders in, they will go to the manufacturer - so order early.

Again, the discount will only apply to this initial order so don't miss out on this great deal. Grab your tape measures, get your orders done and get them in now so that we can proceed with the order process and you will be looking great out there racing and training.

And next time you see Jane-Marie Kerslake please thank her for her efforts. J-M has done the lion's share of getting our new uniform to this stage. Thanks to those who assisted on the uniform subcommittee. Job well done.
