4. Items for next E News by Sunday 8pm

1. The Territory triathlon community was devastated to learn of the death last Friday of Tavis Johannsen (42). As well as being a passionate triathlete over all distances including Ironman, Tavis was also a past major sponsor of our NT Long Course Triathlon. With his latest business venture CycleZone Mooloolaba, Tavis and family were located on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Our sincere sympathy to his wife Fiona, daughters Sophie and Lani, his family and many friends. Tavis' funeral will take place at Maroochydore tomorrow.

2. I caught up with a number of people in Perth including former members Barry Silverlock (who is still very speedy), Ashley Manicaros (who was a bike course volunteer) and Greg Kahl who came down to support the Darwin triathletes. Lost count of those who have raced up here and just love our events and were on for a chat.

3. There are still some uniform items to be picked up. Hope to get all outstanding items distributed this week.

4. Grant Preddy is enroute to Philippines. Grant will be competing in the White Rock Triathlon after a sightseeing tour.

5. We have a number of members lining up in the Noosa Triathlon this weekend including Brian Hannon, Kyle Gear and Angelika Hannon. Good luck to all. Go, go, go !

6. I'm pretty good at athlete tracking but your assistance is always welcome. Please let me know if you or someone you know is lining up soon so we can mention them in E News.
