1. Apparently in 1904, an event in the Olympic Games was called triathlon, and it consisted of long jump, shot put and 100-yard dash.

2. Many of you would have been up late watching the TdF time trial last night. Lucky Al Stancombe was actually on the finish line and enjoying the action (and the noise). How exciting !

3. Beccy Thyne is gaining invaluable cycling experience as she competes down south. Way to go Bec.

4. Blue Watt will be competing in IM Switzerland this weekend. He gets to race on the new bike course they are using for the first time. You can check out Blue's progress on race day at www.ironmanlive.com

5. Team Singapore members Craig Garland, John Thyne, Mick Outhred, Daryl Stanley, Dave Janmaat, Michelle Gailey, Robyn Stanley, Lisa Quinell, Amanda Donohoe & Peta Jeggo head for Singapore from tomorrow afternoon. They will be joined in the OSIM Singapore International Triathlon age group event by Rob Brooks and Simon Jeggo. Go, go, go !

6. Sophie Hawken will also be racing in Singapore in a draft legal ITU Asian Cup event. She will be on a modified course to the age groupers. Good luck, Sophie.

7. Entries for Noosa Triathlon are open. www.usmevents.com.au
