Date: Sunday 29 August 2010
Time: 7.15am
Place: Casuarina Surf Club (prior to event)

1. All committee positions are declared vacant.

2. Our long term president John Thyne has indicated that he will be standing down.

3. Interested persons are sought to fill that position, the vacant vice president slot and a couple of committee positions.

4. John says that while the president's position isn't onerous it does require a time commitment for bi monthly meetings etc. He will be on hand to assist the incoming president & vice president.

5. Our club prides itself on our volunteer culture, so now we need volunteers to step up as President & Vice President. If that sounds like you, please speak to one of the current committee members or have a chat with John.

2. A little tri baby in a big hurry ... Andreas Liveris surprised everyone with an early arrival on Monday at 3.36pm. At just shy of 33 weeks, Andreas weighed in at 2.18kg and is 45.5cm long. Congratulations to Tass and Claire. Mum and little Mr Speedy are doing well

3. Barry Sullivan and Kerry Gannon are getting married this weekend. Ditto Lisa Quinell and Pete Svara. Congratulations to both couples.

4. Monica Stewart is still nursing sore ribs after a recent unscheduled ground inspection.

5. Finlay's NT Long Course Triathlon entries continue to trickle in. Still some accommodation available at Lake Bennett Resort for those who wish to head down on Saturday. Don't forget to request the triathlon rate.

6. Media Hound: Asha made the NT News (see attached); Phil Blumberg, Michelle Mitchell and Lucie Hardiman were in photos in the NT News Monday re the ABC Half Marathon.

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A TRIATHLETE WHEN...

... your partner is looking forward to the day when you will slow down and just run marathons.
... you see no issue with talking about treatments for chafing or saddle rash at the dinner table.
.., you recently asked your friend out for dinner by asking if he/she wanted to “carbo load” together.

Safe Training,
Cheers,
Robyn
