OK I admit it... I'm about 24 hours behind in everything, but happy to report that doesn't apply to training! So thanks to those who reminded me it was an E News day & that you were having anxiety attacks waiting for it to appear in your in box.

1. Anyone interested in heading to Port Moresby for a triathlon? Pencil in Saturday 1 November 08, Ela Beach, Port Moresby. For further information email: upsouthevents@hotmail.com

2. I gave website for emergency contact id's in the last newsletter. The range is available through www.emergencyid.com.au (link should work now).

3. News a new bike is soon to make an event appearance which will have all the boys checking level of funds in the bike moneybox.

4. Preparations are well underway for the annual Presentation Night 12 Sept 08. We have seen some unusual costumes suggested ! Don't forget you need to pre purchase your tickets from CycleZone, John Thyne, Belinda Townend or myself.

5. If you have a club perpetual trophy at home can you please make arrangements to return to either John Thyne or myself as soon as possible.

6. 2009 Arafura Games Race Director Steve Denton is still looking for people to be part of the local organising committee. If you can assist please contact stephen.denton@nt.gov.au

7. As the weather changes and it appears to be warming up, there are a few rumours circulating about comeback appearances to happen this weekend.

8. Some of the Long Course photos are up on Flickr with a few more yet to be uploaded.

9. DTC members heading for Singapore 70.3 next week will join 30 odd elite athletes (including Ali Fitch) vying for a record prize purse of US$50,000, who will be racing with 1,500 age groupers through the two-lap swim course, (the beach is brand new), a freeway based high speed ride over three laps and a shaded multi lap run that is sure to be a huge hit with everyone.

10. People are obviously precious about their Sunday sleep ins. I got a barrage of queries re the start time for this Sunday. It's 7.30am as per calendar, my apologies for inadvertently trying to deprive you of 30 mins zzzzz time.

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A TRIATHLETE WHEN...

... Tuesday (yesterday) came with post race thud
... Noosa travel arrangements are sorted
... you were in a team in the long course but have already vowed to go it alone next year
