Robyn's E News 1 Sept 08

Hi All,

There was a great roll up at the Surf Club yesterday. Race Director Craig Garland and a merry band of volunteers set up a course that everyone enjoyed immensely. A huge vote of thanks to all involved. Heard there was a bit of accidental biffo in the swim, some early season form demonstrated on the bike and some gasping heard on the run.

Welcome to all our new members who raced with the club for the first time & also to those who have returned to the fold. We hope you were inspired to look at the calendar for the first date you can next do it all again. Speaking of calendars, the yellow printed calendar is the version we are using now. Please disregard any other versions.

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A TRIATHLETE WHEN...

... you can use "easy" and "10" in the same sentence
... you have running shoes in varying degrees of decomposition: used, well-worn, spent but still good, and useless but "I keep them just in case"
... seeing guys in speedos doesn't seem that big of a deal to you

Train safe,
Cheers
Robyn
