Hi All,

Ready for Friday evening's Splash N Dash? It's going to be a real challenge for some of us (as in me) to get through the 300/2 x 3 format, so please don't eat all the watermelon before I finish.

I hear some teaming up is also happening and it will be interesting to see those combinations. Will teams have just one swimmer and one runner or will they go with the 3 person approach and each do 300/2 ??

There is plenty of scope to form teams on the day at rego so come on down if you are still to match up and we will assist. The other option is to just complete as much as you can on your own.

So no excuses, we look forward to seeing you all down at the Lake !

OTHER NEWS:

1. Reminder of date change for our Christmas Splash N Dash from Friday 4 Dec to Saturday 5 Dec at Nightcliff Pool. Date change due to another booking at venue. This is our very popular combined Junior / Senior format and our final event for 2009.

2. I hope you have RSVP'd for our members family-friendly Christmas bash on Saturday 28 November from 5.30 pm. Venue is the beachside playground and BBQ area at East Point Reserve (just on from the toilet block) for some pizza, drinks, desert and great company. RSVP to trikylie@aapt.net.au would be appreciated for catering. All DTC members and their families welcome. Wearing of Santa Clause suits, tinsel and other Christmas-type attire is strongly encouraged!

3. Here's one that's probably not for the clean freaks ... Mens Health is conducting an Urbanathon in Singapore on 31 Jan 2010. It's a 12.5km run with a difference. Runners will jump road barricades, scale a wall, jump into a river, conquer flights of steps and slosh through mud pits to reach the finish line. To sign up go to www.menshealth.com.sg
