2. All committee positions are declared vacant.

3. Interested persons are sought to fill committee positions. You are encouraged to speak to Triathlon NT president David McLeod or EO Robyn Stanley if you would like to be involved in the future of triathlon in the Territory.

4. Triathlon NT primary focus is to develop the sport of triathlon within the Northern Territory. The past year has seen many successes including the appointment of the Darwin based Junior Development Coach (part time), setting up of the junior development pathway, guiding the newly formed Gove Tri Club, conducting coach courses which now see more coaches in Darwin, Alice Springs and Gove and conducting our NT Championship events as well as overseeing the Fernwood All Girls Tri.

5. Website: www.triathlonnt.com.au

FOR SALE / WANTED etc:

1. WANTED: Volunteer Race Director for Reverse Order Triathlon, Sunday 26 September to replace Chad who will still be overseas.

2. This section is ideal for advertising all things tri related eg your superseded bike, unwanted tri gear, or those oops, wrong size online purchases etc.

OTHER NEWS:

1. The Fernwood All Girls Tri participants are still glowing with achievement and declaring they will be fitter and faster next year !!

2. Photos from the All Girls Tri are up on flickr with more to come, so make sure you check back often for those.

3. NT Swimming has long course swimming happening at Lake Bennett on Saturday morning. Check www.nt.swimming.org.au Tim Green is amongst those competing.

4. Budapest's population increased this week with 100's of triathletes, including three Territorians hitting the streets. Chad Anderson (M25-29), Heath Porter (M25-29) and Jason Jones (M40-44) are in action this weekend at the ITU Age Group World Champs. Go, Go, Go !!

5. Preparations for Arafura Games Triathlon are stepping up. Following recent meetings, website corrections to tri info will be made shortly. We will advise when Online accreditation opens. Please encourage your overseas contacts (particularly from the Asia Oceania area) to put in expressions of interest to attend.

6. Gove Tri Club has it's first TryKids Triathlon coming up soon. John Thyne and David Crane will be over there on behalf of Triathlon NT to oversee the event and contribute to the development of triathlon in Gove.

7. Down in Alice Springs, it's still a bit chilly but they had a great turnout for their duathlon last Sunday. They are now able to use the pool for swimming but have to remove then replace the covers to swim in the mystery temp water. Alice Springs Tri Club members have Masters Games firmly in their sights.

8. Hopefully we will see some of the Alice crew up here for the NT Duathlon on 19 September.

9. Get cracking on that "Alter Ego" !

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A TRIATHLETE WHEN ...

... you can handle helmet head hair
... hot and sweaty doesn't bother you
... you can still chant "the wind is my friend" at the five hour mark

Safe Training,
Cheers,
Robyn
