Robyn's E News 25 January 2012

Hi All,

A little windy out there would be an understatement. Still, it is cooler and for that we should be thankful.

Probably time to give those wind trainers, rollers and or Spin Classes a go rather than risk being blown off your bike. It is making running a little interesting as well.

2. To assist with organisation of these major events on our calendar, there will be online entry for Ray White Darwin NT Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships (1 April – Lake Alexander) and Kerran Mudgway Memorial Club Championships (14 Apr – Lake Bennett). Watch this space.

3. First event of 2012 for our juniors is triathlon at Lake Alexander on Sunday 12 Feb 12.

OTHER NEWS:

1. Congratulations to Chad Anderson and partner Brooke on the arrival of their first child, Imogen Iris who was born on Monday. Mother and baby fine, Dad on cloud nine.

2. Believe a couple of the pools closed early this morning due to the weather conditions.

3. Uniform order is now closed. Hope you didn’t miss out.

4. Some of those Australia Day BBQ’s may have to move indoors tomorrow.

5. Some interesting developments at WTC regarding 5150, 70.3 & IM Champions being allowed to compete at each world championship providing they validate. At least that’s what I think this says.

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A TRIATHLETE WHEN …

… you are thinking that because you missed a training session last night (or this morning) you are turning to flab and everyone is going to pass you at our next event
… smelly run shoe odour becomes part of your life
… every time you swim you wish someone would invent a fool proof goggle fit process

Safe training,
Cheers,
Robyn
